Shopping for groceries is not a problem with the Tower Supermarket only a ten minute walk away in High Street Sliema. There is a delicatessen and butcher within the supermarket and they also sell alcohol. They do a very good next day delivery service so it is worth going there at the start of your holiday and you can stock up with all the necessities. They have a large selection of local Maltese wines that are very good and competitively priced. Don't forget to order a few bottles for those dinner parties.
There are also some smaller local convenience shops close by. Turn left when leaving the house and turn left at the end of Rudolphe Street and you will find some excellent grocery shops. There is also a very handy ATM there, close to the red phone booth.
Turn right at the phone booth and that is the start of High Street and just 100 metres down on the right you will find the best little pub in Malta ‘The Salisbury Arms’. It’s the perfect venue for football fans and a visit is highly recommended. With viewing on 4 screens you can request to watch any game you like and you will find George a very accommodating host. Their food is also first class and very competitively priced and free Wi-Fi is available.

Apart from the many shops there are more bars and restaurants, a sixteen-screen cinema and a bowling alley. Bay Street backs on to the Paceville area, which is the capital of Malta's nightlife, attracting hundreds of the younger generation (oldest swingers in town are also allowed) to the many discos and clubs where you can dance and drink the night away into the early hours.

Here you will find the prestigious newly built Tigne Point shopping centre, more bars, restaurants and cafes. There is a regular ferry service over the water to Valletta, which only takes ten minutes or so. Several good value sightseeing boat trips also run from the front in Sliema every day.
